ABOUT ABOUT

Please join us on Thursday May 16th for a fascinating program on the Civil Rights Act, which became law in 1964.  Through an interview by Judge William Alsup, we will hear from Judge Thelton Henderson (Ret.), the first Black attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, about the tumultuous period leading up to the passage of the Act.  Judge Alsup, US Attorney Ismail “Izzy” Ramsey, and Justice Teri Jackson of the California Court of Appeal will then discuss civil rights today and looking forward.  There will be a Q & A.  Registration is free and CLE is available for $50.

For our virtual attendees- the link will be sent out two day before the event and again one hour before the event starts.

Registration will close on May 15th at 11:59 pm.  To register after this time, please email Audrey Barrett at [email protected].
